It’s always so much fun to go looking at Christmas lights. In Evansville, Indiana they transform a local park where you can drive through and see all the displays. Here's a link for more information:

And not too far from us is Santa Clause, IN. The entire town is Christmas themed all year round, but it is fun to go to the shops at Christmas time. Visit https://santaclausind.org/ for more information.

A Thanksgiving Day football game in the park with whoever wants to join in. We’ve been doing this for over 40 years and it’s a big event even when there are just a few joining!
Take advantage of the Luminary Walk at the Arboretum in Overland Park, KS. Learn more here: https://www.showclix.com/event/luminary-walk-2021
One family tradition on Christmas morning is the men make breakfast, which consists of crepes filled with strawberries. It’s a Norwegian tradition my grandmother passed down to my dad who passed it on to the men in the family.

It’s been a few years but one of our family traditions is to string popcorn and cranberries to put on the tree. Our children loved this and have passed it on to our grandchildren.

One of my favorite traditions is watching Christmas Vacation with the family and quoting the lines before they’re said!
I also enjoy spending a night at the Country Club Plaza to see the lights and go out for a nice dinner.

When our children were growing up we did a secret 12 Days of Christmas to someone we all chose. We would hide little gifts representing each day and knock and run (beginning on Dec 13). We had to be very creative sometimes not to be caught. We would end on Christmas Eve with every one of us singing at their door the entire Twelve Days of Christmas with a tin of cookies and an ornament for them. The kids still talk about those times - and some of the hysterical things that happened. We also acted out the Nativity each Christmas Eve. Special traditions and precious memories.

When the kids were small(er) we always made time to watch all the Home Alone movies – obviously #2 is the best. As the kids got a little older Christmas Vacation has been a staple and lines get repeated LONG after the movie is over.
Not all that original, but for the past 18 years we’ve all gone to pick out a tree and taken a family picture with the newly selected tree – usually the biggest on the lot.
Now that you’ve gotten to know a little more about us, we’d love getting to know you! Do you have a favorite holiday activity? Let us know. We’re just a phone call away at 800-832-4689.
